General Position Summary

In harmony with PJM’s Vision and Mission, the Coordinator/Analyst supports the overall goals of the State & Member Training Department. While this includes many diverse activities, focus is on training event support, documentation, and program evaluation. This person will be responsible for supporting the Learning Management System (LMS), Learning Content Management System (LCMS), and other training related tools. They will monitor compliance with the PJM operator training and certification requirements. The position involves extensive contact and interaction with members, including facilitating the activities of the company designated Training Liaisons.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • As the coordinator and administrator of the PJM LMS and LCMS, maintain data, test programs, correct errors, and make necessary modifications to information systems
  • Manage projects associated with the LMS, LCMS, and other tools that will result in additional process efficiencies, user enhancements, and customer satisfaction
  • Provide training support and guidance to members and stakeholders on requirements of PJM Manual 40: PJM Training and Certification Requirements
  • Monitor compliance with the PJM training and certification requirements
  • Process and analyze key metrics on program-related activities, identifying trends and/or needs
  • Provide logistical support during training events
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and errors encountered by users and provide technical support on various department tools and systems
  • Demonstrate superior communication skills, maintaining an exceptional level of customer focus
  • Developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with members and other stakeholders to enhance their satisfaction with PJM
  • Timely and efficiently respond to requests for information/support from internal and external customers

Characteristics and Qualifications

Required

  • BS, Business or equivalent work experience
  • 0-5 years of experience Business/IT experience related to training/education organizations
  • Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
  • Ability to visualize and solve complex problems
  • Experience using verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)
  • Experience in analyzing large volumes of data and creating summary reports.
  • Ability to possess a customer focus and an awareness of the importance of the customer in a service organization such as PJM
  • Experience in customer service/support
  • Ability to use an automated training records management system (LMS)
  • Experience with SAP


Preferred

  • MBA, Business Administration or Equivalent work experience
  • At least 10 years of experience Experience in HR/Training, industry/PJM, NERC/PJM training/certification requirements.
  • Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Experience documenting and improving business processes
  • Experience with technical writing and editing
  • Ability to understand business needs, while establishing and maintaining a high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Experience in Human Resources, Security, or a related field with an emphasis on compliance and training
  • Experience in compliance monitoring and audit practices
  • Experience with NERC and Regional Entities and issues
  • Experience with evolving industry regulatory and technical issues as they apply to the PJM system and the role of PJM as an ISO/RTO
  • Ability and desire to build relationships and interact with a wide range of stakeholders and staff to maintain and enhance PJM’s customer service reputation
