The Manager, Media Relations is the program lead for media relations and external communications for PJM, providing expert recommendations and support for PJM communications. This position requires continuous contact with external media contacts. The responsibilities include anticipating and responding to PJM media requests and overseeing social media. In this role, the Manger, Media Relations would be required to write clear and concise talking points and other external messaging.
The Manager, Media Relations also develops and implements effective communications strategies at the direction of the Chief Communications Officer. This role also supports the Chief Communication Officer and the writing team by writing executive communications (e.g., speech writing, talking points, press events, external communications, media relations), production and/or editing, communications plan development and other strategic communications services aligned with PJM’s mission and goals.
