  • General Position Summary

    The Senior Administrator provides administrative support to the senior leadership teams of Applied Innovation and Market Evolution,, Market Operations, System Planning and Strategic Policy & Ext Affairs. The Senior Administrator reports directly to Director, Strategic Policy & External Affairs as a shared resource to other divisions. This individual is responsible for the support and administration of management’s day to day administrative activities including providing direct assistance in the completion of projects, work products, presentations and reports, as necessary.

    The Senior Administrator serves as administrative support for the executive administrator team when needed. Additionally, the Senior Administrator assists in the coordination of committee and divisional meetings/conference coordination as well as assists in Travel & Expense and Time Entry management.

    The Senior Administrator is responsible for the preparation and coordination of various process documents, correspondence, reports, presentations, and Committee and Board materials. This position is also responsible for working with procurement to process new, or renew existing, contracts including setting up purchase orders, processing payments, and appropriately archiving the documents.

    The Senior Administrator supports travel, registration, and meeting scheduling and logistics for Market Services, State Government Policy and System Planning.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintain, cultivate and coordinate internal and external relationships.
    • Correspond and communicate with PJM’s Members, members of the Senior Leadership Team and Leadership Team.
    • Request, edit, and coordinate PJM CMC (Competitive Markets Committee) board materials.
    • Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying and transmitting text, data and graphics. General administrative tasks including creation, transcription, mailing or business documents utilizing the MSOffice suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
    • Compose letters, memos, agendas, minutes, charts and other material of more complex nature as directed. Divisional meeting preparation as needed (Logistics, Agenda and Award preparation)
    • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of automated tools including Meeting Room Manager, Cisco Meeting Place and SAP.
    • Reconcile Divisional P-Card billing records. Order office supplies when requested
    • Maintain Senior's appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences and travel.
    • Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
    • Prepare various documents, such as SAP Check Requests, CATS Time Entry, and Purchase Requisitions according to established company procedures.
    • Approve department/division payroll on behalf of division when needed. Time & Expense support for Exec. Dir, Applied Innovation and Market Evolution, Exec Dir, Market Ops, Dir., Energy Mkt Ops & Markets Leadership team back-up support
    • Post appropriate documents on internal and external website as necessary.
    • Understand and follow office policies and procedures.
    • Maintain files and records according to a consistent filing system and document retention schedule as several employees share this position.
    • Provide support for Norristown Ministries – Coordinate with them and employee volunteers
    • Provide assistance to travel coordination, registration, and logistics for meetings. Make travel arrangements and reservations that may include coordination of ground transportation. Prepare travel itineraries and needed travel documentation packages. Meetings include but not limited to OPSI, NARUC, NASEO, NASUCA, MACRUC, MARC and SEARUC. Duties may include
    • Support RTEP case development in Q1 for the Planning Division. Duties may include preparing and coordination materials and construction responsibility letter to TO.
    • Other duties (to be performed as required).
    • Process contracts and invoice payments as necessary.

    Characteristics and Qualifications


    • HS, or Equivalent work experience
    • At least 5 years of experience as a Senior administrator and/or Senior administrator
    • Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)


    • BA, Business Administration
    • Experience in coordinating and planning large events
    • Experience with SAP
