  • General Position Summary

    In support of PJM's Vision and Mission, the Analyst, Business Continuity Planning supports the Business Continuity Manager in the coordination of business unit recovery planning, business impact analysis, project management, training, problem analysis and resolution and the overall coordination of PJM’s Business Continuity Plan.

    The Analyst, Business Continuity Planning will work closely with the leaders of Information Services, Facilities Services, Operations and other business functions to refine protection strategies, to update tactical recovery plans and emergency notification processes in order to assure that an effective recovery plan is maintained.

    The Analyst, Business Continuity Planning supports the planning and training of the Incident Response Team (IRT), and in the event of an emergency, assists with situation assessment, emergency notification, damage mitigation and coordination with local emergency agencies.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements and high audit standards.
    • Maintain viability and integrity of the BCP documentation database(s) in Resilience One
    • Perform on-going updates and maintenance of plan documentation in Resilience One
    • Works closely with ITS functions to assure data systems recovery plans are updated in accordance with the evolving architecture, project management and IT environment
    • Coordinates the record keeping of various BCP activities for audit or regulatory reporting purposes, including NERC-CIP (008 and 009) and SOC 1 requirements
    • Supports the training of company employees on BCP responsibilities and tactical plans
    • Supports the performance and review of periodic BCP test exercises of various plan elements
    • Coordinates the maintenance of the Send Word Now notification software for emergency notification of employees and other key stakeholders
    • Performs projects and various tasks to support the ongoing development and improvement of PJM security and BCP programs

    Characteristics and Qualifications


    • BS degree, Computer Science or Business Administration
    • 0-5 years of experience professional and technical experience in related functions like project management, IT support, process improvement, enterprise-wide risk analysis.
    • Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
    • Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
    • Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
    • Experience using verbal and written communications skills
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)


    • Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions
    • Experience supporting any of PJM Committees
