  • General Position Summary

    The Analyst will assist the Market Settlement Operations Team in accomplishing the timely and accurate completion of Hourly, Daily, Weekly and Monthly processes to ensure the timely creation and delivery of the weekly and monthly Market Settlement bills. In addition, the analyst will assist in the response to customer inquiries and other ad hoc requests.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • The Analyst will learn and utilize in-house developed software tools and Microsoft Office Products to assist in the efficient and effective completion of the areas of assignment. The primary function will be to perform a daily coding task to ensure certain generators are paid appropriately. The Analyst could be involved with the bill execution, manual adjustment data entry and reporting as they pertain to various aspects of market settlement data and processes.
    • The Analyst will perform all essential functions and duties to comply with the requirements of the SOC 1 Billing control objectives and activities. The duties will include: maintaining appropriate documentation and paperwork for daily activities, logging appropriate issues such as computer execution errors or discrepancy resolutions with customers, performing the required periodic reviews with the audit staff explaining error processing and reviewing actual reconciliation discrepancy situations insuring they were handled according to our documented processes.
    • The Analyst must be flexible in accepting assignments from multiple managers and from diverse personnel across the company.
    • Continuous learning and expansion of knowledge on the market structures and business functions of PJM will be the norm and expectation of each Market Settlements member.

    Characteristics and Qualifications

    Required

    • BS, Business, Accounting and Finance or equivalent work experience
    • 0-5 years of experience
    • Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
    • Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
    • Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
    • Experience using verbal and written communications skills
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)
    • Experience with technology/software tools


    Preferred

    • Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions
    • Experience supporting any of PJM Committees
    • Experience with PJM operations, markets, and finance
