In harmony with the PJM vision and mission, the (Sr) Trainer / Coordinator supports the overall goals of the State & Member Training Department, an internationally accredited provider of continuing education and training.
To be successful, training events require much behind the scenes work; efficient and effective organization is critical. Training events take many forms, including large and small classroom, drills, workshops, and a large multi-week annual seminar. Extensive use of both synchronous and asynchronous online training is also produced and delivered. Delivery methods utilized at training events include lecture, well developed exercises/examples, hands-on demonstrations, and use of operational simulations. The Training Coordinator/Sr. Training Coordinator works closely with other department training and support staff as part of a team to create quality training events and content.

This training must meet the requirements of the NERC CEH Program, NERC PER Standards, along with PJM’s training and certification requirements outlined in Manual 40. Additional audiences include regulatory and government entities, and other member and non-member participants. The Training Coordinator/Sr. Training Coordinator helps ensure the unique needs/requirements of each type of event are met. They will also work collaboratively with others to process requests received for specialized or custom training from members, non-members, and international participants.
While much of the training will be delivered locally, some will be delivered across the PJM footprint to meet the needs of shift personnel and multiregional stakeholders. This position will report to the Manager of State & Member Training.
