  • General Position Summary

    The Sr. SAP Analyst will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating business activities to develop user requirements, design and testing to implement SAP solutions.  As such, it requires maintenance of current functionality in the SAP/FICO area, identification of new capabilities, and implementation of new functionality.  Additionally, this position will act as the liaison between the technical resources and the process owners, primarily the power users of SAP.

     

    This position requires a solid understanding of financial concepts and how they are implemented in SAP, as well as an understanding of PJM’s business model and its implications to PJM’s business systems. In addition, the candidate must have a solid technical understanding of SAP version ECC 6.0, understanding of integration to sales and IMM, ABAP programming, and the latest, Net Weaver version.

     

    Acting as an independent contributor, this person must possess leadership skills and strong influencing skills in order to be able to balance multiple priorities and best address business needs.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • This position will be expected to understand current and future business needs and look to provide appropriate technical solutions for financial business processes. In support of that responsibility, this position will:
    • Development of solutions in ABAP.
    • Establish SAP project plans for approval by the customer.
    • Control system design and project planning activities related to SAP system developments and implementation.
    • Maintain and control cost, schedule and quality of project activities to run on budget, time and meet agreed customer requirements.
    • Manage various phases of SAP projects including requirements analysis, system design, specification, development, documentation, testing and implementation in SAP/FICO application.
    • Maintain security for the existing solution and ensure consistency of setup and dat.
    • Ensure that business solutions are consistent with corporate goals.
    • Provide guidance and support in decision making processes between customers and SAP project teams.
    • Build and develop strong relationships with the user community by providing superior customer support as demonstrated by clearly owning, resolving and communicating issues and problems; being responsive to needs, requirements, and deadlines; and generally promoting goodwill in a professional and trust-building manner.

    Characteristics and Qualifications

    Required

    • BS degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance or equivalent work experience
    • At least 8 years of work experience
    • Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
    • Experience in workflow and FIORI development
    • Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
    • Experience using verbal and written communications skills
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)
    • Experience with SAP Financial Accounting and Control Operating Module


    Preferred

    • MBA, Business Administration
    • Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions
    • Experience supporting any of PJM Committees
